Long ago, was a world where demons existed alongside humans. They competed with each other for power and control. They did as they willed, killing each other and the humans.
The feudal era was a dangerous place. The humans were not the strongest, and they needed protecion. Priestesses protected villages and treated and cared for the villagers. Monks destroyed demons using sutras and other weapons to protect other humans.
Though not all demons were bad. Some helped protect humans, and destroyed other demons that threatened humans.
The feudal era was long ago. Now, in our own era, a young teen named Kagome was dragged into a well by a demon from the feudal era. She found that this well could take her back to that era, and there she met Inuyasha.
Inuyasha was a half dog demon, and when she found him he was asleep as of a spell, and held to a tree by an arrow. Upon pulling the arrow from his body and the tree, Kagome broke the spell. Now she has befriended Inuyasha, and both have secretly fallen in love with each other.
Kagome started helping Inuyasha find the sacred jewel shards, peices of the sacred Shikon jewel, The Jewel of Four Souls had the power the make one's deepest desires reaility. Inuyasha wanted it to become a full demon. Kagome had accidentally shot the jewel with one of her sacred arrows, therefore it shattered into hundreds of shards, that scattered across the land.
Many demons and other have tried to collect them, for power. Each shard enhances one's powers greatly, the entire jewel would be amazing.
Inuyasha was powerful, he had many enemies but most weren't too much of a challenge. Naraku, an evil demon that started as the human soul Onigumo, was one of the strongest enemies. He and his reincarnations were always looking to destroy Inuyasha and become the most supreme and strongest demon.
Another of the biggest threats to Inuyasha was Sesshoumaru, his older half borhter. Sesshoumaru was a full dog demon, and had wanted to kill Inuyasha from the day he was born. Sesshoumaru is not looking for the sacred jewel, or ots powers, he just wants to kill Inuyasha and all other enemies and people that stand in his way.
Inuyasha and Kagome have since gathered friends to join them in their journey. A demon slayer, Sango, and her faithful cat demon friends Kirara. Sango wanted to destroy Naraku because he tricked her and slaughtered her family, as well as getting hundreds of demons to destry all other villagers. He also got control of her younger brother, Kohaku. She wants to rescue him, and get rid of the evil demon.
Miroku, the monk. He has a hole in his right hand, the Windtunnel, that was placed from a curse of Naraku. Naraku cursed his grandfather, and all sons of every generation then on, with the hole that sucked in everything in its path, and one day would completely destoy the holder. Miroku must kill Naraku for the curse to be lifted and him to be freed of the Windtunnel.
And Shippo, a fox demon whos father had been killed. Shippo has wanted to help in the destoying of Naraku. They are all good hearted, and along their journey in search of the evil demon, they have helped many villages get rid of pesky demons, and still do.
Who will end up with the jewel, and who will conquer all? You help decide.
